PAMME LIM: A Busy Girl’s Lifestyle

Hi, my name is Pamme Lim, I am a 1990s kid of mixed Asian ethnicity. Growing up in Bangkok, I considered myself a third-culture kid because I was educated in a British education system at Harrow International School. I spent a lot of my childhood abroad and have lived in Cairo and Paris. For my undergraduate degree, I completed a joint double degree in BA (Hons) in Visual Communication between Birmingham City University and Silpakorn University, where I was awarded the King Bhumibol Scholarship for academic excellence. For my Masters, I did a MSc/MA in Global Media & Communications, spending my first year at London School of Economics & Political Science and my second year at University of Southern California. I was particularly interested in the concept of globalisation and transnational identity, probably because I had burning questions about these issues growing up as third-culture child.

Previously worked in music and entertainment, currently, I am the Director of Beeline Tour, a travel agency I inherited; and the Founder of Beeline Academy, a training institute for travel industry professionals. Aside from my busy entrepreneur lifestyle, I am also a blogger and a YouTuber.

Why I started YouTube/Blog?

I wanted to share my stories, but I have always been scared, overprotective, and kept my life very private. Often, I would worry about what the readers would think about my decisions and opinions, but in late 2017, something hit me.


It was Autumn, and I was on a road trip from Boston to New York, not long after I turned 27 years old. While I was driving, I had some time to reflect on my life and suddenly grasped the fact that I have not been living my life to the fullest since I turned twenty years old. The beginning of my twenties was focused on pursuing my further education and taking up more internships than I should; by the time I reached my mid-twenties, I was already a career driven manager in the industry of my dream, with a long term promising boyfriend who I met in graduate school. My life seemed perfect, but my heart was hollow. 

In 2018, I wanted to embark on a new adventure, so I started meeting different groups of people, and became more open to new experiences to gain fresh perspectives and insights. Right now, I just wanted to live my life with no regrets, and sharing that with the world.

What is my YouTube/Blog about?

I never thought of my life as an ordinary one, no one should, as we all only live one life any way. As busy as I am with work and other obligations, I am committed to sharing stories that are as meaningful and truthful as possible, hoping that my stories will contribute usefully to my followers’ lives. I wanted to share my experiences, achievements and even mistakes to help guide those who might encounter similar situations. The main topics of my content can be divided into three parts:

• Travel: because I travel a lot for work, I can share my tips, tricks and insights on all things travel. I enjoy posting attractions/restaurants reviews, packing techniques, travel capsule wardrobe and travel routines. Furthermore, I also have a passion for food. • Life: this section delves into my very personal life such as post-modern lifestyle, love/relationships, stress and de-stress, work-life balance (or lack of… lol), hobbies, useful skills for a 21st Century business women (business etiquette), organisational techniques, and self-development articles. It is important to make time for what you value most in life, and I would love to help my readers develop these skills with me.  

• Style: fashion and beauty play an important part in my everyday life. In business, it is important to look mature and professional, but at the same time, when the clock hits 5 pm, I am like any other 20-something who enjoys a good party with a glass of cocktail. The challenge is the balance between the two personas in a classy and most efficient way, because this YouTube/Blog is all about a busy girl’s lifestyle!

เกี่ยวกับ "แพม ลิ้ม : ชีวิตของสาวงานยุ่ง"

สวัสดีค่ะ ชื่อ แพม หรือ แพมเม่ ลิ้ม ค่ะ เป็นเด็กปี 1990s โดยกำเนิด เชื้อสายเอเชียผสมกันหลายชาติหน่อย โตในกรุงเทพมหานคร แต่รู้สึกว่าตัวเองเป็นคนที่โตมาในวัฒธรรมที่หลากหลาย (Third-Culture) เพราะว่าตั้งแต่เด็กก็เข้าเรียน โรงเรียนนานาชาติฮาร์โรว์ ที่มีการเรียนการสอนในระบบอังกฤษ และยังได้ใช้เวลาวัยเด็กอาศัยอยู่ที่ ไคโร ประเทศอียิปต์ และ ปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศสด้วย เมื่อเข้าเรียนปริญญาตรี แพม เลือกเรียนคอร์สเกี่ยวกับการออกแบบ BA (Hons) Visual Communication ที่สามารถได้ปริญญาสองใบระหว่าง มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร และมหาวิทยาลัย Birmingham City ที่ประเทศอังกฤษ และได้รับทุนภูมิพล สำหรับนักเรียนเรียนดี หลังจากนั้นได้ไปเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาโท สาขาการสื่อสารระหว่างประเทศ MSc/MA Global Media & Communications ที่ร่วมกันระหว่าง London School of Economics & Political Science ประเทศอังกฤษ และ University of Southern California ประเทศอเมริกา แพมมีความสนใจในเรื่องของโลกาภิวัตน์ (Globalisation) และ อัตลักษณ์ข้ามชาติ (Transnational Identity) เป็นพิเศษ อาจจะเป็นเพราะแพมโตมาในบริบทที่มีความหลากหลายทางด้านเชื้อชาติ ภาษา และวัฒธรรมตั้งแต่เด็ก จึงทำให้มีคำถามมากมายอยู่ในใจที่ต้องการจะหาคำตอบ

ก่อนหน้านี้ แพม เคยทำงานด้านดนตรี และบันเทิง ปัจจุบัน แพม เป็นผู้บริหารที่บริษัท บีไลน์ทัวร์ (Beeline Tour) ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทท่องเที่ยวที่ได้รับสืบทอดมาจากครอบครัว และเป็นผู้ก่อตั้ง Beeline Academy โรงเรียนฝึกอบรมหัวหน้าทัวร์ นอกจากงานประจำแล้ว แพมยังชอบที่จะเขียน Blog และทำวีดีโอใน YouTube ด้วยค่ะ

ทำไมแพมถึงเริ่มทำ YouTube/Blog?

ความจริงแพมอยากจะแชร์เรื่องราวของแพมมาตั้งนานแล้วแต่กลัวมาตลอด จึงทำให้เป็นคนใช้ชีวิตแบบส่วนตัวมากๆ จนบางทีอาจจะดูเหมือนลึกลับเลยก็ว่าได้ หลายครั้งที่แพมไม่กล้าจะแชร์เรื่องต่างๆเพราะมัวแต่กลัวว่าคนอื่นจะคิดอย่างไรกับการกระทำ และการตัดสินใจของเรา แต่เมื่อปลายปี 2017 ที่ผ่านมา มีบางอย่างทำให้แพมเปลี่ยนใจ...

ตอนนั้นเป็นฤดูใบไม้ร่วง หลังวันเกิดครบ 27 ปีได้ไม่นาน แพมอยู่ที่อเมริกา กำลังเดินทางจาก บอสตัน ไป นิวยอร์ค ระหว่างที่ขับรถแพมมีเวลาได้คิดทบทวน และสะท้อนอะไรหลายๆอย่างในชีวิตที่ผ่านมา จึงได้เอะใจว่า "ตั้งแต่อายุ 20 เรานี่ไม่ได้ใช้ชีวิตอย่างเต็มที่เลยนิหว่า" เพราะตั้งแต่อายุ 20 ปีต้นๆ ชีวิตช่วงนั้นก็มุ่งมั่นกับการเรียน และการสร้างประวัติการทำงาน และโปรไฟล์ที่สวยหรูให้กับตัวเอง รับงานพิเศษ และฝึกงานหลายที่ จนบางทีมากเกินไปด้วยซ้ำ พาอายุเข้ามาช่วง 20 กลางๆ ก็ได้ทำงานตามเป้าหมายที่วางเอาไว้ และได้เป็นผู้บริหารที่บ้างานมากทีเดียว แถมยังมีแฟนสุดหล่อ โปรไฟล์ดีที่คบกันมาตั้งแต่ตอนเรียนปริญญาโทอีกด้วย ทำให้ชีวิตดูเหมือนจะเพอร์เฟค แต่ข้างในนั้นช่างว่างเปล่า 

ในปี 2018 แพมตั้งใจที่จะพบกับการผจญภัยใหม่ ทำให้ช่วงที่ผ่านมาแพมได้เริ่มพบเจอคนกลุ่มอื่นๆ เพื่อเปิดมุมมอง และโลกทัศน์ให้ชีวิตมีเรื่องราวที่หลากหลาย ตอนนี้แพมแค่อยากจะใช้ชีวิตให้เต็มที่ แบบที่ไม่ต้องมานั่งเสียดายทีหลังว่าทำไมตอนนั้นเราไม่ได้ทำ และในขณะเดียวกัน แพมก็อยากจะแชร์การผจญภัยเหล่านั้นกับทุกๆคน

YouTube/Blog ของแพมเกี่ยวกับอะไรบ้าง?

แพมไม่เคยคิดว่าชีวิตแพมธรรมดา ความจริงไม่ว่าใครก็ไม่ควรคิดว่าชีวิตตัวเองธรรมดาเช่นกัน เพราะทุกคนมีเพียงชีวิตเดียว เพราะฉะนั้นไม่ว่างจะงานยุ่ง หรือภารกิจรัดตัวอย่างไร แพมมุ่งมั่น และตั้งใจที่จะแชร์เรื่องราวที่แพมคิดว่ามีความหมาย มีคุณค่า และเป็นเรื่องจริงให้มากที่สุด และหวังว่าเรื่องราวของแพมจะมีประโยชน์ต่อการใช้ชีวิตไม่มากก็น้อยกับคนที่ติดตามผลงานของแพม แพมอยากจะแชร์ประสบการณ์ ความสำเร็จ และความผิดพลาดเพื่อที่จะช่วยเป็นแนวทางให้กับคนที่อาจจะเผชิญหน้ากับสถานการณ์คล้ายๆกัน เรื่องที่แพมจะพูดถึงสามารถแบ่งเป็นสามหัวข้อหลักๆดังนี้:

• Travel: การท่องเที่ยว ปกติแพมเป็นคนที่เดินทางเยอะมาก ส่วนหนึ่งเป็นเพราะงานด้วย แพมอยากจะแชร์เคล็ดลับ รายละเอียด และเรื่องราวทุกอย่างที่เกี่ยวกับการท่องเที่ยว ไม่ว่าจะเป็นรีวิวสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว ร้านอาหาร วิธีการแพ็คกระเป๋า และเตรียมเสื้อผ้าโดยใช้เทคนิค Capsule Wardrobe และสิ่งที่ต้องทำก่อนเดินทาง เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้แพมยังชื่นชอบในเรื่องอาหาร และมักจะโพสรูปอาหาร พร้อมรีวิว และความเห็น ในแนว flat-lay ใน Instagram ชื่อ @FoodLoverBK อย่าลืมไปติดตามกันนะคะ

• Life: ชีวิต หัวข้อนี้จะลงลึกถึงเรื่องราวชีวิตส่วนตัว lifestyle และการใช้ชีวิต ที่อาจจะแปลกๆหน่อยของแพม เรื่องราวความรัก วิธีจัดการกับความเครียด และ work-life balance กิจกรรม งานอดิเรกอื่นๆ รวมถึงทักษะที่จำเป็นสำหรับผู้หญิงรุ่นใหม่ เช่น มารยาทในการทำงาน การพูดพรีเซนต์งาน เคล็ดลับการพัฒนาตนเองจากหนังสือหลายๆเล่มที่แพมเคยอ่าน และการจัดการวางแผนเวลาในแต่ละวันเพื่อให้เรามีเวลาทำสิ่งที่มีคุณค่าในชีวิต

• Style: สไตล์ จะเป็นส่วนของสไตล์การแต่งตัว และการดูแลตัวเองให้ดูดี เพราะเรื่องเล่านี้จำเป็นมากในชีวิตประจำวันของทุกคน ในโลกการทำงาน การดูเป็นมือาชีพ และภูมิฐาน เป็นเรื่องที่สำคัญมาก แต่นอกเวลางาน แพมก็เหมือนคนอายุ 20 กว่าทั่วไปที่ชอบสนุกสนานในงานปาร์ตี้ พร้อมกับค็อกเทลสักแก้ว ความท้าทายก็คือการหาจุดลงตัวระหว่างภาพลักษ์ทั้งสองนี้ และการบริหารจัดการตัวเองท่ามกลางตารางชีวิตที่สุดแสนจะวุ่นวาย
