ABOUT ME

Dear Readers,

My name is Pamme and this blog is a space for my world views and creative outlets. With having spent a lot of time abroad since young age, I considered myself a global citizen. I have lived in Bangkok, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Cairo, Milan, Kiel (Germany) and Tokyo.

It is a pleasure to be showing you a little more about myself! I am currently a Digital Marketing Communication professional working in a tech company and I previously worked in a Fortune 100 company. I am also a YouTuber/Blogger. As a professional in the field, it is crucial to always be agile in this fast changing industry so I am using my digital space as a playground to experiment with new tools and express my creativity. I have included some hyperlink in the text body below in case you would like to know more about what I mentioned. Moreover, I have complied some highlights of the work that I've done for my personal project (mostly influencer work) as well as the work I have done for my former employer. Who is Pamme Lim?

I consider myself a third-culture kid. I spent a lot of my childhood abroad and lived in Bangkok, Cairo, London and Paris before the age of 15. For my undergraduate degree, I completed a joint double degree in BA (Hons) in Visual Communication (now Digital Communication Design) between Birmingham City University and Silpakorn University, where I was awarded the King Bhumibol Scholarship for academic excellence.

For my double Masters, I did a MSc/MA in Global Media & Communications, spending my first year at London School of Economics & Political Science (UK) and my second year at the University of Southern California (USA).

I was particularly interested in the concept of globalisation and transnational identity, probably because I had burning questions about these issues growing up as third-culture child.

Having previously worked in music, entertainment, fashion, media and tourism, I currently am now an influencer and a digital marketing communication consultant.

Influencer Work | Role: Influencer

I started producing content and sharing it publicly in 2017. Since then, I have become a part-time influencer in both Thai and English, writing blog posts for pammelim.com and Facebook, Instagram (photo and short story videos), and YouTube. I edit videos with Adobe Creative Suite and film video footage myself using a DSLR Canon EOS 80D.

Beeline Tours & Travel

Travel Agency | Role: Marketing Communication Manager

I worked with Beeline Tours and Travel, a premium outbound travel agency, for 6 years. My work for Beeline included coming up with strategic integrated marketing communication plan for the company. Some of the earlier works I did for the company were market research, recruitment, rebranding, corporate identity design, web design, and shifting from offline to online communication platforms. Later in my career, I rotated to other functions within the company including Business Development and Talent Management.

Beeline Academy

Social Enterprise Project | Role: Founder & Project Manager

During my work rotation, I was in charge of Talent Management where I was able to recruit, interview and manage freelance tour leaders with a range of experiences. This job and my experience as a tour leader provided me insights into their way of being and problems travel agencies face relating to talent shortages during peak seasons. Often times, the popular tour leaders were booked way in advance, leaving many groups without a qualified tour leader to lead. I saw this an opportunity to start a social enterprise project named Beeline Academy, which was open to public as a place to learn about the travel industry and to train those aspiring to be professional tour leaders. The objective was to provide a resource of new talented tour leaders for Beeline and other travel agencies.
