There are an endless number of activities you could do in the Rambagh Palace ranging from high tea, morning yoga, traditional dancing performance to elephant polo. These activities change everyday and vary according to the season. Because it was a beautiful sunny day I have decided to spend my time at the Rambagh's Royal High Tea.

The high tea was served with tea of your choice, champagne, cucumber and tomato sandwiches, scones, cheese straws, and fruit cakes.

Apart from the high tea, I have also joined the palace tour which took me through the garden (where I've seen even more peacocks and Indian green pigeon, please excuse me if I got my bird wrong), the historic swimming pool...

Other breathtaking rooms within the palace include the dining room, where Indian traditional cuisine is served. The polo room, the Chinese room and lastly the Rajmata Gayatri Devi suite.
Maharani Gayatri Devi was one of 'The Ten Most Beautiful Women' of her time according to Vogue magazine. She was the third Maharani of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II whom she married for love and not by arrange marriage.
The couple had one son, Prince Jagat Singh, who married to Mom Rajawongse Priyanandana Rangsit. She is the daughter of Princess Vibhavadi Rangsit of Thailand.

The hotel was rated the best hotel in the world by Conde Nast Traveller magazine in 2009 and I would have to agreed. Overall, I think Rambagh Palace is definitely one of the best lifetime experiences especially because you are treated like a royalty. I personally recommend this amazing hotel! x
